Layers of urban painting
Vaughan just sent me this link. Very impressive as it shows how graffiti builds up over time. Quite a simple interface too.

Just got back from a weekend in Amsterdam with work. Stayed in the amazing Lloyd Hotel in one of the MVRDV designed rooms. The room was similar to this one.
Took over 300 pics but edited it down to these 50 images.
The weather has been getting colder the last few days and I woke up this morning to find a good frost on the ground. Perfect for some photos!
Took a few shots whilst walking to work. The light was great and the frost really made some of the pics.
Over the weekend the adaptor for my MacBook stopped working. Ok, I had today booked as holiday so no problem, I’ll just go to the applestore on Regent’s Street and get them to give me a new one. Sur, that’ll be easy.
First, book an appointment. Then sit on a bench for 45 mins waiting for my name to be called. New power adaptor needed. None in stock, but they manage to find one from somewhere. Great. Job done.
Five mins ago this one stopped working.
WORDS FAIL ME!
continued;
30 mins on hold.. yes they’ll send me a new adaptor, puts me on hold then back in to the queue again.. start all over again and explain it all again.. 1 hour in total on the phone!
arrrgghhhhh
Got the day off today so went out for a bit of a ride round town on the bike. Got a few Christmas presents and watched the world go by for a while whilst having a coffee in the Seven Dials area. Good to be back on the bike around town after not using it for sometime.
Went out on Sunday with the aim of taking some pics. It rained constantly and the nice afternoon walk became a bit of a drab excursion. Anyway a few pics below which I managed to take. Still lots to learn but getting there I think.
Whilst moving some stuff around my hard drive I found a few old pics which I thought were worth uploading. It’s just any old pics which I used as desktop backgrounds. A few below and the rest are here
Took a few night shots on the way home and getting used to the camera. Reading a few pages of the manual helped :-)
Really like the glow on the wet pavement. These shots should be much better than the ones from the Southbank as I used a much lower ISO so there’s less noise in the image. Also used the remote to avoid getting any shake on the tripod.
Dave Gorman of ‘are you Dave Gorman’ fame has a flickr page. Turns out he’s a pretty good photographer. Love his billboard poster shots which he works in to real life such as the one below.
