bikes and things

Picked it up this morning and rode very carefully home. Few pics here. Not sure if it was worth waiting so long. Read the full saga. Bit mucked about by Condor but it is a nice bike. Just wish they had been a bit more truthful about the cyclescheme cost which they charge on top and also the delay in getting it. A bit boring to hear “it’ll be here in two weeks” each time you call.

Went out again a little while a go and did a few more miles on it.

Went through Forest Hill, Catford, Greenwich, Canary Wharf, City, Waterloo, Camberwell, Peckham, East Dulwich…

Still waiting for the bike and it’s not going to be here before Christmas which is a real disappointment. Couldn’t get any sort of date as to when it might actually arrive.. Possibly mid Jan maybe longer, this is after waiting since October. Anyway, I was offered a road bike to ride over Christmas, the trouble is that it was so super expensive I was scared stiff of damaging it. Following this conversation it turns out they do have the white frames in stock, I’m picking it up on Sat morning. Not the colour I wanted but I can’t see the point in waiting any longer, I’d rather get the use out of it over Christmas.

Just had a phone call from Condor Cycles saying that the frames have been made in the factory and are due in to England soon. I should be able to pick up my new road bike on the 22nd. What a nice Birthday present to myself! Going to take it back to Bath over Christmas and get some longer rides in.
