Afan with Gav

Quick blast round Whites Level at Afan today. Took the Kobe Ti which was great fun… Nice to ride a hardtail again as the Enduro is making me lazy.

Few pics on flickr as per usual.

New lens

My new lens arrived this morning for the D70. Pretty impressive as I ordered it on Christmas Eve after I paid my Birthday money in.

It seems to be really well built and nice and tight. It’s heavier than the Nikon one I was using but feels very solid. Slightly noisier when changing focus but the macro is superb. The lens gets in the way before I can actually stop focusing. A few examples below. Gonna have fun with this!

Singletrack – A picture and a hundred words

A great thread showing lots of great pictures from some of the singletrack regulars

It reminded me of some of my best biking experiences of 2007. It has to be Les Arcs with Scotland coming in a close second. Two pictures of a well earned rest whilst riding with mates in Les Arcs during the summer.

Afan with the old man

Just got back from Afan with Dad. Gave him the Kobe to ride which he loved – he told everyone he met how amazing it was! I had no front brake which was useful.. Cracking day for it though!

Back up to Afan on Sunday with Gav.

Canada video from Johnny Smoke

Some great looking riding and also some really nuts stuff.. Hopefully I’ll get back in to riding some doubles and things again soon. Enjoy the video.

Very interesting graphical way of viewing who is linked on flickr and browsing their contacts and pics.

back for Christmas

Back in Bath, or rather Corsham, for Christmas. The drive back was a nightmare which started with a flat battery then fog on the motorway and a very slow drive back. Had a relaxing day on my birthday after the surprise party Emma organised. Blown away by that! Thanks to everyone who came.

Hoping to get some riding in too with Dad and some mates. Gavin is away this year so no Boxing Day ride unfortunately.

Got the camera with me of course and started shooting in RAW format and playing with the images in Adobe Lightroom. You get a lot more control over the image. Only using the demo of Lightroom so far but it’s impressive what you can do with it. Here’s a few pics of Dad’s new puppy from today. Only four months old and still full of beans. Also one of Topise, mum’s cat.
