Inspired by Lee’s blog. Tonight’s dinner, some decent sausages, onion and a few shallots and an hour in the oven. Yummy.

Caving in Box
Spent a little while reading up about all the underground workings under Box Hill over the weekend around the area where I grew up. I was and still am fascinated by the whole area. A great deal of the old stone mines were converted to MOD use for storage and also a massive Nuclear Bunker. I’ll post up some links to sites about this later.
Some of the mines are still accessible and we used to get tours from the Quarryman’s Arms pub. The best bit of the tour was always coming in to this area called the cathedral! You can see why. The photo isn’t mine and more are available here.
