Photo Portfolio

So I finally got my arse into gear and sorted out a start of an online photography portfolio. Not sure if WordPress was the right way to go with it but I think it works ok for now. Need to play around with lots of things to make it how I want but it’s close as can be for only spending a few hours on it.

So here it is andymatthewsphotography.com not the catchiest of URLs but never mind. It says what it needs to. More work to do and then there’s lots of other things I need to do to get this going a bit further.

Photographic Portrait Prize 2009

Wandered in to town with Emma today and went to the National Portrait Gallery to see the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize. Some great images but rammed to the gills as usual. Must learn that going early is the key to better viewing conditions. Got told off in the reception area for taking a picture too! Got a copy of the exhibition catalogue and going to spend plenty of time looking for inspiration there.

After we headed up for a bit of a wander round Covent Garden, Soho and a brief stop at the Jon Snow for a few pints. Then off to the Japan Centre for dinner! Awesome day and now back at home with the fire on.

Published

Another few images published. This time in RIBA Journal. Unfortunately they didn’t manage to credit me which is a shame. Nice to get a double spread image though.

First scans

Just trying the scanner out. Off to bed but managed to get these two reasonably well scanned.

UK snow pictures

An amazing set of images as usual from the Guardian. Really like the photography they collect for these kind of events.
