Riding
Went to Critical Mass last night with Emma, Alex and Luis from work.
Was a bit too slow and the route wasn’t great to start. Got a lot better when it hit Oxford Circus.
Then went for a ride this morning with Vaughan. Bit of a delay starting as Vaughan managed to lock his keys in the boot of the car. Turns out the car is well armoured to stop people picking the locks, including the breakdown man. Tried to get his Direct Line breakdown to cover him but he didn’t have home start. He couldn’t add it to the policy either as his wallet was in the car! Oops.
Finally headed out to Surrey Hills for an hour or so which was better than nothing. Played around with Vaughan’s new helmet cam thing. The results of which can be seen here – roughly cut together in iMovie ’08. We mounted the camera on the top of the forks to get a bit lower to the action. Might be worth putting it on the headtube next time as whenever the forks turn you don’t see the trail.
