Photography with a bit more pressure
A few weekends ago I took my first ‘paid for’ photography job. Vaughan and Shannon suggested that I come along to an interview Vaughan was doing for Living South – a local magazine which is distributed in SE1. The job was to get a few images to go with the article Vaughan was doing on Witcomb Cycles in Deptford. We rode there and the whole place was fascinating. They have been making bikes there since 1952 and continue to make custom hand made lugged road frames to the day. Unfortunately it got me lusting after a custom fixed frame but at £1200 it’ll have to wait for a few years yet.
It was difficult shooting on the low light but I got 10 or so decent shots and the magazine seem quite pleased. They’re not amazing by pro standards but hopefully they’re better than what they normally would have got.
One of my favourite images is below and the rest are on flickr flickr here. Let me know what you think!
